TAM LogoThe Technology and Media Division of the Council for Exceptional Children (TAM) promotes the availability and effective use of assistive technology for individuals with disabilities. Products include:

 

  • TAM Technology Fans
    TAM publishes 3 fans—Using Assistive Technology Accommodations in Assessments, Assistive Technology Considerations for Academic Success, and Supports for Young Children. These easy-to-use fans feature technology devices on each blade, along with resources for locating the devices. A users guide accompanies each TAM Technology Fan.
  • TAM Monograph Series
    TAM monographs provide practitioners with practical ideas for using assistive and instructional technology to support students with disabilities. Titles include: A School Administrator’s Guide to Assistive Technology, Technology and Media for Accessing the Curriculum, Considering the Need for Assistive Technology Within the Individualized Education Program, Technology Integration, Accommodating Students with Disabilities, and Learning Disabilities and Assistive Technology.

  • JSET Readings in Assistive Technology
